These shots sum up what was an absolutely stunning day filming Lisa and Luke at St Michaels Manor Hotel. With so much going on we certainly had our work cut out shooting everything from belly dancers to the amazing evening sparkler display. Here’s the finished film, congratulations guys, you were awesome.

Every once in a while, if you are lucky enough, a wedding filmmaker gets the chance to shoot something quite extraordinary. Laura and Ted had a vision. With the low key ‘official’ nuptials performed earlier in the week they wanted to have a little fun with a ‘mock’ ceremony and celebrate with all their friends and family in a way that only Laura and Ted could imagine. In a clearing in the middle of the woods. This is their story.

As part of Laura and Ted’s wedding celebrations they had chosen a very different sort of song to perform for the marryoke. Gone were the ‘safe’ choices and in from left field came that little known but much loved classic from Noah and the Whale, Five Years Time.

Featuring some amazing performances from family and friends as well as a awesome surprise live rendition of the song from the groom at the end of the ceremony, this is their marryoke. In keeping with the style of the original pop video we’ve given this beautiful HD footage a very distinctive vintage super 8mm look.

Stunning venues – Check

Beautiful couple – Check

Perfect weather – Check

Its on days like this that I really love my job and this was certainly evident when all the elements came together at Leanne and Scott’s wedding. As hardened as I have become after 7 years of filming weddings there are still moments where the emotions of the day rub off on me and when a couple are so obviously in love like these two are it becomes a joy to share their special day.

To say that Leanne & Scotts big day was high on emotion would be an understatement. From Scotts letter to Leanne in the morning to the hilarious and poignant speeches after the wedding breakfast at Rectory Farm, tears of joy flowed all day.

A pleasure and an honour, here is their wedding film.

Jacq & Dan - The Movie

OK, maybe I jumped the shark on this one but lets face it, how often do you get the chance to put a Great White on a wedding poster. I can’t take the credit for the original image unfortunately, that honour goes to the awesomely talented Annie Lovett.

Here are Jacq and Dan in a little sneaky peek of their wedding day. Whenever a bride and groom take the time to write their own personal vows I always try and weave it into the finished highlights film and Jacq & Dan certainly didn’t disappoint. Touching, funny and poignant, this is a little taster from the finished film.

I knew this marryoke was going to be special as soon as i finished shooting it. Guest starring Maurice ‘Del Boy’ Canham and some of Jacq & Dan’s crazy friends (bridesmaids, i’m looking at you!) this is their hilarious marryoke and one of my favourites of the year.

A truly spectacular day, with beautiful sunshine throughout and with the chance to get out and film at some great locations around Newquay we knew this one was going to be special. With so much good footage filmed on the day we couldn’t trim this one down to just one track. So here it is, Jess and Louis’s wedding highlights. Two tracks,  four and a half minutes, beautiful.

Thanks to Keith and Neda Riley, the awesome photographers we worked with. Jess & Louis, we wish you all the best, thank you both so much for letting us be a part of your amazing day and best wishes for the future.

When you have two speakers as eloquent as Jonny and his brother Julian, a barrister and actor, you know that you are going to be in for a treat. Using wireless microphones to capture the audio from these touching speeches I knew I had to weave a taste of them into one of our ‘short form’ wedding edits.

Intercut with elements of the day and set to Black Woods, White Beach by Afterlife Parade, this is their special day.

Filmed at Barton Le Clay and Woburn Safari Park, these are a very special wedding highlights or ‘best bits’ as we like to call them. Mel had this song in mind, an beautiful instrumental version of the Killers track ‘ A Dustland Fairytale’. As soon as I heard it I knew it would work and the results speak for themselves, an amazing day and a lovely couple to work with, our congratulations go out to them both.

Fantastic song choice – check

All the elements that make the perfect wedding film came together for Leah and James when they tied the knot at Fanhams Hall on April 4th.

Leah & James – Perfect Day from Moving Media Films on Vimeo.

I love it when a couple really understand what i’m trying to achieve when I shoot their wedding. Having decided on one of our short form style ‘Best Bits’ they chose Holley Maher’s ‘Perfect Day’ to accompany it. Song choice is key when it comes to wedding films and especially so with the short form style. Perfect Day works so well with the footage and it’s no surprise that the song was specifically written for use in event and wedding filmmaking. Mixing the instrumental sections of the song with audio taken from their beautiful wedding vows and ceremony really ties the entire edit together and gives it a much more cinematic feel.

A joy to film and edit, my best wishes go out to them both for the future. Enjoy.

I love it when an outdoor wedding doesn’t get rained off. Up until half an hour before the ceremony Stacey and Ryan’s alternative indoor option had been prepped for the wedding as heavy rain was forecast. When the Westmill Farm staff gave the thumbs up the staff went into a hive of activity, busily readying the wonderful outdoor pagoda and moving all of the guest chairs.

Befitting the Twilight theme, we’ve used Christina Perri’s ‘A Thousand Years’ to play out their wedding highlights or ‘Best Bits as we like to call them.

Lisa + Adam – First Dance Vintage Highlights from Moving Media Films on Vimeo.

Who needs HD when you have Super 8 Cine Film. Lisa and Adam chose “You’re a Wonderful One” by Marvin Gaye as their first dance and inspired by the amazing wedding dance routine we felt a suitably 1964 look was needed in keeping with the classic vintage song.
Part first dance, part best bits, this is the entire day in just 3 gorgeously retro minutes.

The Pulp Fiction Dance

Danielle and Wayne had lots of surprises for their guests over the course of the day but none bigger than the first dance. It starts with your typical first dance song which in this case was Jack Johnson’s ‘Better Together’ but half way through segued into something quite special, the Pulp Fiction dance.

The wedding highlights or ‘best bits’ from Nikki and Pete’s wedding. Filmed at Holy Trinity Church in Bengeo and the Priory Barn in Wymondley this is the day from the preparations until they leave the church in just three beautiful minutes.

We always try to make each film as individual as the couple being shot and I really do think this one gives you a peek into what Nikki and Pete are all about, but most of all it shows how much fun they have being together. The wedding day was so chilled and relaxed, and filled with lovely little details that Nikki & Pete had worked so hard at, all to make the day special for their close family and friends.

Emma + Jason’s Hanbury Manor Wedding by Moving Media Films

It’s not often we get to do a proper groom prep on the day of the wedding but when Emma the Bride told us she had secretly booked a surprise helicopter trip for Jason and his Groomsmen to the wedding venue at Hanbury Manor, we knew we had to be there.
Set to Leona Lewis’s monster hit ‘Moment Like This’ which was their first dance, this is their entire day in four and a half amazing minutes.

I was in my comfort zone, filming at a venue I loved with great suppliers that I had worked with before. Throw in a helicopter and a proper groom prep and it could be the best ‘Best Bits’ ever. Having worked with eXpression Photography and Mr H before I knew the day would run smoothly. A fantastic day’s filming and some incredible evening entertainment made the day a real joy to film. Watch out for some great shots of Mr H’s evening’s entertainment, coming soon.

Jonny & Rachels Marryoke – ‘Marry You’

Filmed at Pendley Manor near Tring, this is Jonny & Rachel’s wedding Marryoke. Choosing the Glee version of the Bruno Mars hit ‘Marry You’ was an inspired sing-a-long choice and with knock out performances from the Bride, Groom and guests really help make this marryoke one of the best we’ve ever filmed.

Kim & Jack

I love shooting at The High Rocks in Tunbridge Wells, its a stunning venue with equally gorgeous scenery to match. Kim and Jack had planned a late afternoon ceremony, timing the setting of the sun perfectly so it lit up the ceremony room. Every last detail was carefully planned with a superhero theme hinting at the quirky and fun attitude of the happy couple, here’s the highlights, enjoy.

Kim & Jack’s Best Bits from Moving Media Films on Vimeo.

Squeezing a marryoke in was always going to be a challenge with under an hour between the ceremony and the wedding breakfast but thanks to some awesome performances we managed to pull it off. Starting with a fantastic rendition by Kim and the bridesmaids at the bridal preps and concluding with some fantastic performances during the photoshoot at the Rocks.

Shot at the awesome Old Hall near Ely and at Steph and Vinny’s home, this is their wedding marryoke, the Grease Megamix and it really is quite awesome. Keep this page bookmarked as the couple’s wedding film will be hosted here in the coming weeks, along with some other gorgeous extras.

Siobhan & Dennis

After nearly 10 years of shooting weddings it still moves me when I see a couple so obviously in love like these two and feel honoured to be a part of their special day. Siobhan and Dennis planned their wedding perfectly and even the weather played ball for once, allowing all the guests out into the gorgeous grounds of the historic grade 1 listed former Monastery.

Set to Holley Maher’s beautiful song, this is their entire day from the preps through to the first dance. Enjoy.
