All the elements that make the perfect wedding film came together for Leah and James when they tied the knot at Fanhams Hall on April 4th.

I love it when a couple really understand what i’m trying to achieve when I shoot their wedding. Having decided on one of our short form style ‘Best Bits’ they chose Holley Maher’s ‘Perfect Day’ to accompany it. Song choice is key when it comes to wedding films and especially so with the short form style. Perfect Day works so well with the footage and it’s no surprise that the song was specifically written for use in event and wedding filmmaking. Mixing the instrumental sections of the song with audio taken from their beautiful wedding vows and ceremony really ties the entire edit together and gives it a much more cinematic feel.

A joy to film and edit, my best wishes go out to them both for the future. Enjoy.

I love it when an outdoor wedding doesn’t get rained off. Up until half an hour before the ceremony Stacey and Ryan’s alternative indoor option had been prepped for the wedding as heavy rain was forecast. When the Westmill Farm staff gave the thumbs up the staff went into a hive of activity, busily readying the wonderful outdoor pagoda and moving all of the guest chairs.

Befitting the Twilight theme, we’ve used Christina Perri’s ‘A Thousand Years’ to play out their wedding highlights or ‘Best Bits as we like to call them.

Lisa + Adam – First Dance Vintage Highlights from Moving Media Films on Vimeo.

Who needs HD when you have Super 8 Cine Film. Lisa and Adam chose “You’re a Wonderful One” by Marvin Gaye as their first dance and inspired by the amazing wedding dance routine we felt a suitably 1964 look was needed in keeping with the classic vintage song.
Part first dance, part best bits, this is the entire day in just 3 gorgeously retro minutes.
